When it comes to the treatment of acne, the best thing
would be to consult a professional dermatologist. Apart from that, a
few lifestyle changes have to be made. Proper skin care
is very essential to treat and manage acne.
We have developed a step-by-step, highly effective program to treat pimples and control further break-outs. This regimen is also beneficial for oily skin
.
If you have oily skin or combination skin, but you do not have acne, do steps 1, 2a, 2b and 3. Skip Step 2.(skip the gel). Use the cleanser, the night cream at night, the SPF 30 during the day and the enzyme mask 3 times a week.
If you have acne, use all 5 products in steps 1, 2, 2a, 2b, and 3. That is: The cleanser, the gel in the morning, followed by SPF30, the night cream at night and the enzyme mask, 3 times a week.
Step 1: Proper Cleansing
Trauma to the acne breakouts may worsen the acne
or cause scarring. When washing your face, use your hands, as any terrycloth or
other scrubbing material may cause acne sores to rupture.
Clean face with our Renewing Facial Cleansing Silk 2 times a day: This cleansing silk gently cleans the skin without depleting valuable nutrients from the skin. This cleanser nicely hydrates while removing dirt and excess oil. It soothes your skin with natural botanical extracts of Chamomile, Alfalfa, Borage and Aloe Vera juice. The result is very rewarding: fresh, well hydrated and deeply purified skin. Read more on our facial cleanser............

2b) Sun Protection
Sun protection is also very important with this step. SPF provides extra UV protection against 97% of the
sun's harmful burning rays to help prevent sun damage, so skin stays
healthy and younger looking. SPF helps prevent premature skin damage. It is recommended you apply sun protection anytime your skin will become exposed to the sun. SPF is especially necessary when using products that exfoliate your skin. This treatment works by partially exfoliating your skin to remove dead cell build-up that clog pores and cause acne. Therefore, there is a higher need for the use of sun protection as your skin is vulnerable to sun damage.

spectrum UVA/UVB sun protection. Added Vitamin E protects

Step 3: Exfoliation and Purification
Aside from making the skin look dull and lifeless, dead skin cells can
also cause wrinkles, cause more acne outbreaks, and they can be blamed
for the caused of skin that looks as if it has aged prematurely.
Use the Enzyme Renewing Mask 3 times weekly to purify your pores and dissolve excess oil and dead skin cells. This ensures a fresh, glowing complexion that is less likely to break out. This is a peel-off mask and will not aggravate the skin like a scrub. Apply on the skin after step 1 above, leave on for 20 minutes or until mask dries and peel off. Follow with your treatment.

Acne treatment requires patience as it usually takes between six to
eight weeks of management before visible signs of improvement can be
seen. Lifestyle modification is also important in tackling acne naturally. A
sufficient water intake, regular exercise and sleep and scrupulous skin
hygiene will all contribute to faster and longer-lasting results. Do not scrub your skin or pick on your pimple. That will aggravate the condition.
Acne is a health condition and needs to be treated as
such. If you have acne and you feel that it is getting worse instead of
better, the best thing that you can do is let a
dermatologist have a look at your condition.
When acne is severe, pimples and zits become deep, inflamed
and cyst-like. Usually a lot of scarring and damage to the skin occurs. Dermatologists will use very aggressive treatments to try to prevent
the progression of severe acne. Oral
antibiotics, medications, drainage techniques and surgical incision, also known as
Acne Surgery may be used. Other acne treatments such as injections of
corticosteroids can be used. The acne therapy chosen by your dermatologist
will be matched to the severity of the condition effecting your skin.
